TrenCrucero a unique journey for Ecuador

An experience of four days and three nights where passengers know: history, culture, customs and traditions of Ecuador.
TrenCrucero defined in the style of their four coaches:barroco, neoclassical, hispanic and Classical Style. Cultureof the Ecuadorian coastal region. They were designed with historical sense. Also, ensure the safety and comfort of tourists.
Some sections are driven by steam locomotives of the early twentieth century, but most travel is done with electric diesel locomotives. The train has capacity for 54 people to travel completely comfortable. The first two coach have tables and chairs where visitors take a snack, have fun with board games or just talk. The third coach is a coffee bar and a lounge that allows passengers to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The last one is divided into two parts: a guy lounge area with panoramic windows and an open terrace to closely observe the beauty of the Andes and the Coast.

The route is divided by days:
From Quito toDurán:
First day: Leaving from the Eloy Alfaro Chimbacalle station in Quito to get Lasso with a distance of 78 km. In Chimbacalle travelers know the historic station and Museo del Tren. They can have a breakfast in Cafe Car. On the day we visit the Cotopaxi National Park and Lake Limpiopungo. Then lunch at a historic hacienda. That day travelers will enjoy the unique landscapes of the Avenue of the Volcanoes and end with an Indian party in Lasso.
Second day: Lasso is going to Riobamba, 156 km. In Ambato visiting a floricultural and lunch in a colonial hotel. Urbina station tourists tasted corn tortillas made by the women of the community who administer the Café del Tren. They meet the Museo del Tren and the traditions of the Chimborazo hieleros. BaltazarUshca receives and tells how Glacier ice is removed.
Third day: the path to Riobamba Huigra is performed. During the 145 km route Balbanera church, it is the first Catholic church built in the country being visited. Another attraction is the market Guamote. There TrenCrucero travelers interact with indigenous industry and learn their ways. That day cruise is also included in the mythical train Devil’s Nose.
Fourth day: is part of Huigra and Bucay up. A hike through the cloud forest with lush vegetation including orchids and bromeliads. The day includes a visit to the Río LimónShuar community settled since 1900 near the river of the same name. This attraction allows visitors to connect with their ancient practices.
There are a dance and taste the maito, consisting of a wrapped chicken banana leaves. From YaguachiDurán arriving by steam locomotive.
* To Durán from Quito: repeat the same activities and tours are as follows: First day: Durán to Bucay. Second day: Bucay Riobamba, third day of Riobamba to Lasso Lasso and final day of Quito.
